Teva Canada Innovation’s medical and scientific functions include medical affairs and clinical research.

The medical affairs function primarily provides support to health care professionals and patients through medical information, scientific communications and educational activities. The group is also responsible for supporting the other functional areas within Teva Canada Innovation to further advance the understanding of neurological disorders, auto-immune diseases, oncology, biologics and other areas including women’s health and respiratory to evaluate new product opportunities.

Product pipeline

The clinical research unit, formally established in 2003, focuses on phase II/III clinical studies. The research projects include neurological, auto-immune, oncology, biologics and a number of other disease areas including women’s health and respiratory. The group continues to investigate product improvements and new indications for our currently marketed products:

The group is involved in the conduct of global studies but can also design and implement new innovative projects in collaboration with Canadian scientists. Through all those efforts, the associates working in the various scientific functions improve the delivery of services to patients affected by those diseases and develop new products that will improve their health outcomes.
