Message from the GM

Hello,

Our organization was initially known as Teva Marion Partners, then Teva Neuroscience, and now proudly bears the name of Teva Canada Innovation. Our group, based in Montreal, is responsible for the development and commercialization in Canada of all innovative products from Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., a corporation which was founded in 1901 and now ranks among the 20 largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.

As a result of the success we’ve experienced since we began our innovative activities in Canada in 1997, we are now ready to extend our activities beyond neurology to other fields such as auto-immune diseases, oncology, women’s health and respiratory illnesses.

Our vision is to improve the health of Canadians through the quality of our people, the benefits of our products and our focus on innovation.

In order to accomplish this, we intend to pursue our close collaboration with all stakeholders in the healthcare field and always keep in mind the person at the heart of our initiatives: the patient. We are committed to maintaining our innovative approach, always aiming to improve and deliver products that will continue to make a difference in the lives of Canadians.

Dr. Jean Godin, MD, MBA

Montreal-born Dr. Jean Godin, MD, MBA, was appointed to the position of General Manager in 2007.

A graduate in Medicine of Université de Montréal with a postgraduate degree in Family Medicine, Dr. Godin joined Teva Canada as Medical Director in the company’s very early days (1999) before being promoted to the position of Director of Scientific and Medical Affairs in 2004. Two years later, he was appointed Senior Director of Scientific and Medical Affairs. In his capacity as General Manager, Dr. Godin became the first Canadian scientific expert to lead the Canadian operation. His focus is on ensuring that Teva Canada Innovation builds on the strength of Teva’s expertise, continues to enhance the partnership established with key stakeholders in our fields of interest, and further develops the competencies established in order to support the company’s vision.
